Dustie Johnson

Dr. Dustie Johnson has both a masters and a doctorate in Reproductive Physiology and has had
the pleasure of “working both sides of the fence,” both in animals and humans. Her graduate
research at Texas Tech University lead to a patent on a “Method for Collecting and Preserving
Semen” and the development of ProteX. She is an applied scientist at heart and continues to
be active in research. Dustie is passionate about improving patient care though applied
science and has just authored a book titled “How to Help Your Doctor Help You: A Patient/
Patient Advocate’s Guide to Better Healthcare”.
Dustie is a founding member and shareholder of Reproductive Technology Group, LLC and has
her own business as an Independent Medical/Scientific Consultant. She has spent many years
(20+) in the human fertility world including serving as the former as Vice President of RSI,
Reproductive Solutions, Inc. and was crucial in initially taking ProteX to market. She also
worked her way up in Fertility and Women’s Health Pharmaceutical and Medical Device world
from Medical Liaison to Regional Director of Field Medical. Dustie has a very strong medical/
scientific background which including teachings Anatomy and Physiology, Reproductive
Physiology, and Animal Sciences.
Dr. Johnson has authored a number of publications in well respected scientific journals and
presented both national and internationally. She has not only been an inventor, but has the
ability to take an idea from research and development through commercialization process,
and on to a product that can significantly impact patient care. She has a wealth of
experience launching new products, developing business and marketing strategies, and
managing key stakeholder relationships. Dr. Johnson has spent more than 20+ serving as a
medical/scientific expert in the pharmaceutical and medical device fields and knows the
commitment it takes to grow a startup company to success.
Dustie is married to a wonderful husband, Guy who runs a large oilfield company in which
Dustie is an active participant. Dustie is a self-described “Texan, Born and Bred”, loves the
outdoors, and is passionate about hunting and fishing. She loves spending time with her son
who is a pilot, working towards his commercial pilot’s license. She and her husband enjoy
working on their 1950s pickups and spending as much time as possible at the ranch.
