Lindsay Penrose

and Co-founder

Lindsay L. Penrose, Ph.D, SMNAI, an associate professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at Texas Tech University, is a translational researcher improving assisted reproductive technologies (ART) for humans and livestock animals. She was named a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors in 2023 and holds four U.S. Patents and two international patents on technologies to improve ART. She has written 23 peer-reviewed articles and delivered 88 presentations at regional, national, and international scientific meetings. Her scientific endeavors have made her a 5-time winner of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Star Award. In the classroom, Dr. Penrose has taught courses in reproductive physiology, physiology, and research ethics; she has written two textbooks and mentored 82 students. In 2018, she was awarded the Lubbock YWCA Woman of Excellence award for Science and Medicine. When not in the lab, Lindsay enjoys cooking, creating art, and participating in dog sports with her three golden retrievers, Gauge, Rae, and Simon.
